| | May 11, marked the 12 fruitful years of Victory Davao! Thank you for the church planters who follow God's command! Thank you Pastor Mel, Pastor Eugene and Pastor Alvin. (Sorry if I miss somebody important)
When I accepted Christ in 2005, Pastor Alvin was the senior pastor who guided me in my walk with God. I know Pastor Alvin and Vicky did follow Gods plan, for them to leave their home in Luzon, to come to Davao where no relatives or friends know them. As what Pastor Julius Fabregas shared the Word last Sunday, that when God send you, we should not be hesitant to go, becaude he said, "Too much thinking can produce hesitation and indecision." If God commands us, we need to obey at once. He shared in teh Book of Acts about Peter and Cornelius. (please read Pastor Alvin blog)
It was really a great celebration with so much funfare wioth teh theme of EN07 "...to the ends of the world...". The opening dance number by the Talents inC, a display of all nations flags with talents showing their jazz and ballet moves cause the church goers in awe! The adult choir back up in the opening praise and also sang in the offereing potrion. Ended with a hip hop number.
Pastor Julius, lead a group of 5 talents from the Talents inC namely Ria llanto, Karen Espiritu, Brad Murdoch, Mycs Villoso and Alfred Lauzon who shared their talents in hip hop and fashion. 2 workshops was conducted a day before.
The kids church also celebrated simultaneously with clown and ice cream!
It was really a fruitful year! A time of harvest!

| | Talent in Christ from Manila graced the 12th annivesary of Victory Davao!
In cooperation with our anniversary, the Manila talents shared their expertise, to Dabawenos, in fashion!
Karen Marie Espiritu, fashion specialist, share the trend of fashion today! Brad Murdoch, actor and model, shared the "dos and don'ts" of a model, for those who intend to be one in the future!
The central message of what they shared--- "it's not all about us! It's all about HIM! It's what we can do for CHRIST! To GOD be the Glory!"

| | Mycs Villosa and Alfred Lauzon, of Talents inC Manila share their God Given talents to Davao enthusiasts! Almost 100 teens and young adult attended the workshop, dubbed "Rhythm and Moves".
Mycs, the incumbent secretary of Hip hop national team, and instructor of la Salle and other schools, enlightened Dabawenos how hip hop thrives to our community, especially to the young people; she also introduced the different kind and forms of hip hop! it was a very informative workshop.
We learned from her that "KRUMPing" is a Christian term---Kingdom Radical Unification Mighty Praise! (correct me, Mycs kung tama!t)
Alfred also shared the more mellow form of hip hop, the pop locking form.He is a member of the "Manoeuver" and also teaching choregraphy in The Trumpet. Aside from teaching and performing Hip Hop, he has discover his love for musical theater. Watch out for him in "West Side Story." |
| | Every Friday, Talents in Christ, is giving FREE hip hop DANCE lesson to those who want to learn the technique of hip hop dancing. We are located in 857 Gov. Sobrecarey Street with telephone # 3005844.
Last Friday, we were honored to have Talents inC's talents from Manila to share with us how God has given their talents and how God has encourage them to share it to others.
Ria Llanto, shared the Word, while both Karen and Mycs share their testimony. We were all enlightened and encourage to step out of our comfort zone, and do God's great commission!
2 workshops in hip hop and fashion was successfully attended, the next day by enthusiasts. Almost 100 teens and young adults attended the hip hop workshop, while about 30 attended the fashion workshop. |
| | Talents InC from Manila visited Victory Davao Last May 10, to give Hip Hop workshop dubbed " RHYTHM AND MOVES" and a fashion workshop dubbed "FASHION EDGE". Experts in the workshops shared their ttalents to Davao's home grown!

| | Victory Davao will be celebrating its 12th year anniversary this coming May 11, 2008! This is an invitation for who wants to grace our celebration. Church service starts 10AM and we will be honored to have Ptr Julius Fabregas to share with us God's Word. Please come on time, because you will missing the opening GRAND number.
The Talents NYT talents will present 2 dance numbers and the adult will also do a Latin praise song. We hope you can join us on this victorious event!
In connection with our celebration, Fashion authority from Manila, Karen Marie Espiritu, Product Development Specialist of Avery Dennison Corp of New Yoirk City and Brad Murdoch, A model and actor, will give a fashion workshop on May 10, 3-5 PM in our Center dubbed " FASHION EDGE." The same day at 10am to 12 noon, Mycs Villoso, a 3-years member of National Hip Hop team and coach of La Salle Dance Company Street and Alfred Lauzon, a choreographer and at the same time a dancer, will also give a workshop in Hip Hop dubbed "RHYTHMS AND MOVES"! DONT MISS THESE EVENTS!

| | Something is cooking in VCF Davao every Friday, the Talents Night, where free dance lesson in hip hop is taught for FREE, and FREE sharing of GOD's Word! Amazing! Isnt it? I thought there is nothing FREE in this world !
There are free dance lesson for the youth, while the "young once" are also having their Bible study on the other side of the room, and some are into learning MORE in the "Biblical Foundation."
There are 4 small Bible study groups and 2 groups in dance lessons, the teens and the kids!

| | VCF Davao, is really growing in discipleship! Many people are hungry to know God!
At the LCB Perfroming Arts Center, where Talents in Christ is house. Friday night is dedicated to God! Young peole are given free lessons in hiphop and God's Word is shared. On the the other dance studio, four groups of adult Bible studies and Biblical Foundation classes is on going. Others do 121 for new comers! And we are still growing!
Wednesday night , the newly formed adult choir of Victory Davao also practice at the Center. God is really moving in Davao! |
